Shein Try-On Haul

If you’re like me, then you’ve seen people getting the cutest things from Shein lately. I had been on the fence for a long time about ordering from this retailer as I didn’t think the quality would be what I wanted.

Well, I finally took the plunge and placed an order. My first thought…the website is EXTREMELY overwhelming. There is just too much to look through which made the whole experience a bit stressful. Once I narrowed down exactly what I was hoping to find though, it seemed to go a bit smoother. I also found the mobile app to be much less overwhelming than the website!

The shipping did take a bit long. I think from the time I placed the order to when my order arrived, it was about two weeks. I was in no hurry though, so it didn’t really bother me.

Be sure to check the sizing and reviews for EACH piece. While you may be a small in one thing, you could be a medium or even large in another.

Finally, when you create an account you will unlock a ton of discounts! Don’t miss out on those to make your total even less!

Alright, now into what I got! Click on any of the images to go directly to my LIKEtoKNOW.it and grab these items!

Puff Sleeve Tie Back Top – $9

I was really looking to grab some nice work tops with this haul since I will be heading back to the office soon. This one quickly stood out to me. I love a good puff sleeve! At first, I didn’t love it, but then I steamed it, and now I think it’s great! I sized up one to a Medium in this and I think it fits perfect! It also comes in seven other colors!

V-neck Batwing Sleeve Tee – $10

In addition to work tops, I was also hoping to find some great casual tops for the summer. This one looked perfect, and for $10 it seemed like a steal! While I do think this is good for the summer, it definitely is a thin fabric and didn’t match my House of Colour spring colors, so I’ll be sending it back. However, if this is your style, I say grab it! It comes in 29 colors! I’m wearing a small for reference.

Allover Print Round Neck Blouse – $10

I really wanted to love this top, but it was just ok for me. It’s hard to tell in the picture, but the top of the neckline lays quite strange on me. I love this color, but it just didn’t work. It comes in four other colors. I’m wearing a medium.

Solid Flutter Sleeve Tie Back Blouse – $13

Here’s another one that I wanted to love! And I did…until I tied the back. That made the front neckline lay weird like the previous shirt and it just wasn’t working. It’s super cute besides that though, and comes in eight other colors. I’m wearing a small.

Allover Print Surplice Front Layered Hem Dress – $19

How cute is this dress!? It is such a perfect, lightweight dress for summer, but it can also be worn to the office! One word of warning though…it’s definitely a thin fabric so you’ll need to wear nude undergarments or a slip. It comes in 10 other colors. I’m wearing a medium

Allover Graphic High Waisted Bikini Swimsuit – $13

I have had my eye on this bikini for a while now! The colors are just perfect and it looked like it would be flattering. To be honest, since I’ve been injured, I’m not in my best shape and hesitated to even post this, but this is real and this is me, sooo here ya go! This suit is extremely comfortable and it doesn’t feel cheap at all! It is definitely cheeky, but I don’t mind it. This is a winner in my book! For reference, I’m wearing a medium.

Racer Back High Low Tank Dress – $11

This dress looked super cute on their site, and that’s because it is. However, there is no way you could wear this as just a dress because it’s extremely see-through. That being said, it makes an adorable cover-up so it’s a keeper to me! It also comes in 9 other colors. I’m wearing the medium.

Drop Shoulder Open Knit Cover Up – $16

How adorable is this coverup!? I feel so chic in this. It’s a great piece to wear when you’re coming off the beach or out of the pool to grab a drink or a bite to eat. This one comes in five other colors. I’m wearing a small.

Styling a Denim Jacket for Spring

Do you have a denim jacket in your closet? If not, I highly suggest investing in one as they are such a great piece to have in your closet, especially in the transitional seasons such as spring and fall.

Denim jackets come in so many variations, white, light blue, dark blue, black, cropped, oversized… The list goes on! Today, I’m going to touch on a very basic distressed denim jacket and five different ways to style it!

As always, everything you see is linked. Simply click on the picture to shop that exact picture or click on the linked words under each picture to take you directly to that item.

Style 1

This is probably the most casual of all the looks, and so easy to recreate. I’m wearing my Spanx Faux Leather leggings in this picture, but you can literally wear any leggings, add a t-shirt and sneakers and you’re good to go! Such a easy, but chic look!

Style 2

I love pairing a denim jacket with white jeans. This look is similar to the first one, just switched out a couple of pieces! The mules elevate the look to make it a tad less casual, but you could still easily wear this to the park with your kids or running errands and look instantly put together!

Style 3

Okay, how fun is this look?! When I was twirling around making a Reel for Instagram, I just pictured myself riding a bike to happy hour at the beach. Random? Maybe, but it’s such a fun look! I have a tank top on here, but would’ve much preferred a white bodysuit!

Style 4

Do you notice a theme here? All of these outfits are so easy and duplicatable! I’m just wearing dark denim with a peplum top and leopard mules for a pop of fun in there! This is great for those days where it’s chilly in the morning and/or evening, but warm during the day. Simply add the jacket and you’re good to go!

Style 5

This one is sooo easy! I am wearing a striped dress here, but you could wear any swing or t-shirt dress and simply layer on a denim jacket! You could make it even dressier by adding heels, but I kept it simple with my current favorite sandal and added a pop of color to my lips.

How to Style a Chambray Shirt

If there is one piece of clothing everyone should have in their closet, it’s definitely a chambray button down shirt! This piece can be worn SO MANY ways, and it’s a great transitional piece from one season to another. You can find these basically anywhere from Target to Madewell to Nordstrom. It really depends on your preference and budget where you get yours, but this is definitely a piece you could invest in and have for years to come.

As always, everything you see is linked. Simply click on the picture to shop that exact picture or click on the linked words under each picture to take you directly to that item.

I styled this one seven different ways, but the possibilities are endless!

Pro Tip: Rolling your sleeves up will give you a more polished look! This goes for all button up shirts! 🙂

Style 1

First up, the Canadian Tuxedo! Don’t be afraid to pair denim with denim! My best tip is to just make sure the shades of denim are at least slightly different. I paired this with a neutral mule and this fun leopard bag. I’m loving this look for a day-date or a fun weekend trip with your best girls!

Style 2

How simple is this next look?! Throw on a pair of white denim to really make the chambray shirt pop. You could go with a neutral shoe or spice it up with a pop of color. Either way, this look is so easy to duplicate and oh so chic!

Style 3

Talk about a casual Friday work look! This is perfect for those who still have to go into the office, but have the ability to dress a bit more casually. Or, wear this out to dinner or even just to run errands. It’s a versatile look and so easy to put together. Just grab a pair of black (or dark) denim and pair them with a fun belt and shoe!

Style 4

How fun is this look?! All I did was unbutton the lowest button, and tied it in a double knot around my waist. This gives me more of a waist line so I don’t look frumpy. I love pairing this with a skirt! It’s girly, but still comfortable without being too fancy! Of course, you could throw on a pair of wedges and give this a whole new look!

Style 5

This may be my favorite simply because it’s the easiest! A t-shirt dress is another one of those pieces that can be worn a million different ways. Adding a chambray around your waist gives you some definition and point of interest for the eye making you appear thinner! I paired this with sneakers, but you could also throw on sandals!

Style 6

Okay, I’m also LOVING this look. This is so good for a beach date night or a night out with the girls. Sexy, comfortable, but also cute! Again, I tied at the waist, but this time I left all the buttons undone. Add some lipstick and jewels, and you’re good to go!

Style 7

If you’re heading anywhere on vacation this summer, this look is a MUST! I only ever travel in this jumpsuit and I almost always pair it with either a chambray shirt or a denim jacket. Planes (and cars) can get cold, so it’s nice to have something to cover up with. This jumpsuit comes in multiple colors too, so if black isn’t your thing, check out the other colors available. But don’t sleep on this one because it’s goooood!
